Registration 2011

Bethlehem Lacrosse Club's final in-person registration for 2011 season will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at Bethlehem Town Hall from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  Board members will be in attendance at registration to answer any questions you may have. We will also have equipment available for purchase through local suppliers.  The registration form is available on the Forms page.

Philosophy
The Bethlehem Lacrosse Club wants children to experience the game of lacrosse in a friendly and supportive environment.  We realize that families are busy and that many children have other activities during the week.  We encourage players to come to practice so they can learn the skills of the game, but do not penalize children who may miss practice time because of other obligations.  We love the game of lacrosse and most of the children who get the chance to play end up loving it as well.

Age Groupings
The club has programs for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade.  The age groupings for players are as follows:
  • K - 2nd grade (instructional with Sunday afternoon practices /  no regularly scheduled games.)
  • 3rd - 4th grade (weekday evening practices with Saturday multi-team games.)
  • 5th - 6th grade (weekday evening practices with Saturday multi-team games.)
  • 7th - 8th grade (weekday evening practices with Saturday multi-team games.)
Cost
The cost of the programs is the same as last year: $50 for the K -2nd grade and $100 for the 3rd - 4th grade, 5th - 6th grade and 7th - 8th grade players.  The registration fee includes your child's U.S. Lacrosse membership dues for the year.

Equipment
Every child must supply their own equipment which for the boys includes: stick, helmet, gloves and mouth guard.  Girls equipment includes a stick, goggles and a mouth guard.  We have discounted starter packages available for both boys and girls through Breakaway Lacrosse.  Go to the Forms link to download the Breakawya Equipment Package. Moulded rubber cleats are a good idea for players in 3rd grade and above, but are not required.  Soccer cleats work just fine for lacrosse.

**Donate Used Equipment**
We will be collecting any used lacrosse equipment that players can donate for distribution to players in the Bethlehem Lacrosse Club who are in need.  We will be accepting both boys and girls sticks, helmets, goggles, gloves, pads and cleats.  If you have some equipment that you don't need, please bring it with you to our Club Registration sessions on February 16th or March 2nd startng at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall.
