K-2 Grade Level:
The kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade program for both boys and girls is designed to simply introduce the sport of lacrosse to these young players, developing basic skills in a non-competitive, non-contact, fun environment For these players, there is one practice a week and no formal schedule of games against other teams. Last year the Club hosted a year-end jamboree, where these young lacrosse players did have the opportunity to participate in non-contact games with teams from other clubs as well as learn from some local college players and coaches. Given the enormous success of this inaugural program, we anticipate a similar program this season. 

Required Equipment:
Boys: Mouth guard, Goggles/Helmet, Boys Stick (full size-men’s)
Girls: Mouth guard, Goggles, Stick (full size-women’s)

3-4 Grade Level:
The Club’s 3rd and 4th grade level program (for boys and girls) remains an introductory level program. At this level, players will focus on individual skills and begin participating in team play. At this level, we continue to encourage a fun, relaxed environment, with slightly more competition added to the mix. Boys will begin minimal contact at this level (screens/limited checking). We welcome new players at this level. Our teams practice 2 times per week with 1-2 games per week against other regional 3-4 level teams. The Club concludes the season with a year-end picnic.

Required Equipment:
Boys: Mouth guard, Helmet, Boys Stick (full size-men’s), Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Athletic supporter with cup, Gloves. We encourage but don’t require rib pads. Long Poles/Defensive sticks are discouraged at this level for boys
Girls: Mouth guard, Goggles, Stick (full size-women’s)

5-6 Grade Program:
The Club’s 5th & 6th grade program (for boys and girls) is an intermediate level program, but new players to the sport are welcome and certainly encouraged to participate. At this level, players will continue focusing on individual skills with more in-depth team play strategies and tactics introduced. At this level, we continue to encourage a fun environment, with slightly more competition than the 3rd/4th grade level. Boys will again have minimal contact at this level (screens/limited checking) with slightly more aggressive play than the 3rd/4th level. We continue to welcome new players at this level. Boys and Girls will begin to identify and play a single position at this level. Our teams practice 2-3 times per week with 1-2 games per week against other regional 5-6 level teams mixed in. The Club concludes the season with a year-end picnic.

Boys: Mouth guard, Helmet, Boys Stick (full size-men’s), Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Athletic supporter with cup, Gloves. We encourage but don’t require rib pads. Long Poles/Defensive sticks begin to get introduced at this level for boys.
Girls: Mouth guard, Goggles, Stick (full size-women’s)

7-8 Grade Program (boys only at this time):
The Club’s 7th & 8th grade program (for boys) is still an intermediate level program with more aggressive play than the 5th/6th grade level. New players to the sport are welcome, but realize that many players at this level have had several years of experience at this point. We always welcome new players!. At this level, players will continue to strengthen their individual skills with much more in-depth team play strategies and tactics introducing basic offenses and defenses schemes. We continue to encourage a fun and enjoyable environment, but this is a more competitive level than the previous levels as the teams will have some modified players involved in the program. Boys will again have more contact at this level with more aggressive play than the younger levels. Our teams practice 2-3 times per week with 1-2 games per week against other regional 7-8 level teams mixed in. The Club concludes the season with a year-end picnic.

Boys: Mouth guard, Helmet, Boys Stick (full size-men’s), Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Athletic supporter with cup, Gloves. We encourage but don’t require rib pads. Long Poles/Defensive sticks are used at this level for boys. 

       For girls lacrosse, the following equipment is required: stick, eye protection, mouth guard and cleats. The cleats can not have metal tips and should be made of molded rubber.
